Most of us want to share our lives with someone. We want a connection, a soul mate, a partner, whether or not they come with a legal certificate or an expiration date. But what’s the real deal? How do you find love and partnership without losing your identity? How do people grow as individuals and stay connected? How do you know he’s the one? When is it time to let go?
There is no guaranteed do or don’t list. Everyone has different experiences on the way to I do or I don’t. The only thing I can say is DO expect ups and downs. DON’T expect your partner to be your sole source of happiness. Life is not perfect and neither are relationships.
Today’s 20-somethings put so much pressure on themselves to be perfect – but often the thing you love most about the person you fall in love with is their imperfection. Enjoy that. After all, it is the flaw that separates art from manufactured.
