Three Gifts For A 20-Something: “A Relationship Story Has To Be Co-written”

unspecified

What three “gifts” would you give a 20-something if you were a “Forty-Godmother”? Here 40-somethings share three wishes to help a 20-something get a head start on the confidence to make decisions that are right for themselves. No more woulda, coulda, shoulda.

1. You can make up your own story. You can create the vision of what you want to go for …and start living towards that dream with every ounce of your being. You can produce it. But you can’t make up someone else’s story. A relationship’s story has to be co-written.

2. We are critical enough of ourselves and there are enough challenges in the world. You don’t have to stay friends with the people who criticize you or only have their best interest at heart.

3. If someone you love has issues that lead to bad behavior or or pain, don’t ignore those issues. If you ignore their issues it makes if a lot easier for them to do so too.
