What three “gifts” would you give a 20-something if you were a “Forty-Godmother”? Here 40-somethings share three wishes to help a 20-something get a head start on the confidence to make decisions that are right for themselves. No more woulda, coulda, shoulda.
1. A magic eraser that wipes out the noise and the baggage so you can make choices that look forward instead of backward. Everyday is a fresh page to write on.
2. You will not care what people think of you. Enjoy the ability to see the world around you without comparing yourself to the world. Everyone has problems and has a different version of what makes them happy. No good comes from comparing what you have or don’t have – from your job, your life, your relationship to what others have. Remember, you have no idea if they are happy.
3. You will not have to be right. The faster you make a decision the sooner you will know if it is right or not.
