What three “gifts” would you give a 20-something if you were a “Forty-Godmother”? Here 40-somethings share three wishes to help a 20-something get a head start on the confidence to make decisions that are right for themselves. No more woulda, coulda, shoulda.
1. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Use your critical thinking skills in all areas of your life.
2. Keep learning. The day you stop learning is the day your brain dies. Open yourself up to change, new ideas and letting yourself morph.
3. Help others. Don’t fall prey to “mean girl syndrome” with your friends. If you can’t be happy for others you can’t be truly happy for yourself.
