Today I am thrilled to announce the launch of 40 Women To Watch Over Forty in partnership with Whitney Johnson, co-founder Rose Park Advisors and author of Dare Dream Do: Remarkable Things Happen When You Dare To Dream.
Whitney and I share a commitment to female mentorship and personal reinvention. As we compared notes on daring to dream and the exchange of 40-something wisdom, we found we also shared the conviction that women in their 40’s and onwards reach new levels of creativity, clarity and confidence. Yet much of this 40-something reinvention goes unnoticed. While Forbes celebrates the 20-somethings who are visionaries, impatient to change the world (and we love them), there’s a cadre of 40-something women quietly changing the world. I’m sure you know one of them! You can nominate them here.
We will scour the world with an open nomination call for women who are innovators, role-models and makers, creating momentum and changing the world. We have assembled a high-caliber judging panel with a mix of men, women and age ranges hailing from the tech, entrepreneurial, media and corporate world to cull down the list to the top 40 Women Over 40 to Watch.
Nominations will be accepted from April 3rd – April 30th with the final list being launched in mid-June.
We have defined some characteristics to help identify those women who at 40-plus, show all signs to suggest their greatest achievements are ahead of, not behind, them?
- How is this person disrupting professionally, whether in business, tech, media, entrepreneurship, social good, science, academics, creative arts, or politics?
- How is this woman a positive role model to younger women: innovating around work/life issues; promoting women for leadership?
- How has this person disrupted themselves personally?
