There is Nothing Wrong with Changing Directions

“I had no idea what I wanted to do. I was 20. What do you want to be when you grow up. You think it is so monumental and it’s not. You can change and do so many things but when you are that age you do place extraordinary emphasis on where you go and what your. there is a place for everyone

If someone opens the door for you and it might not be the most glamorous thing but maybe you are good at it and you enjoy it.  So you’re moving somewhere.  You may be sacrificing some things but you’re gaining knowledge in other areas. Then you can change.

For me, it’s just the process of figuring it out and that’s okay. It’s okay if it takes a while. People reinvent themselves all the time but you’ve got to start somewhere. Nothing is forever. So many people change direction all the time. It’s completely okay to do that. Do not feel like there’s anything wrong with you.” – 40-something, banker, marketing, writer, mother, wife, friend, Larchmont, NY
