What You Learn From Slowing Down

There’s a lot of pressure to define yourself in your twenties and create the image of yourself in the workplace and  with relationships too. “This is the right job for me. This is the right guy for me. This is the kind of guy I like. This is how I’m going to dress and look. These are my hobbies.”

We didn’t take any time to sort that stuff out and be more self-evolved.  I would say slow it down because there’s absolutely no way without some serious thought and consideration you can figure all that out. It happens over time.. I definitely think in your twenties you should be taking it slow.

That doesn’t mean you can’t have strong opinions and you don’t have to back down from them. It’s okay if people don’t agree with you. You can trust your own instincts. – 40-something producer, LA
