What I Wish I Knew Then: 3 Gifts for a 20-Something

pixteller-design-a1af85321d11e9edWhat three “gifts” would you give a 20-something if you were a “Forty-Godmother”? Here 40-somethings share three wishes to help a 20-something get a head start on the confidence to make decisions that are right for themselves. No more woulda, coulda, shoulda.

1, Be yourself. Don’t expect to be what people expect you to be. Don’t fall into a box and package yourself up. We’re all different. You are not a clique, a generation or a group.

2. Don’t wait for tomorrow to take care of yourself. Don’t fall prey to the I can do that for me tomorrow because I have to take care of other people, other things today. Eventually it will take away from your ability to do if you don’t do for for yourself.

3. Keep your imagination alive. Draw outside the lines
