Three Gifts for a 20-Something

uponi5pk8mWhat three “gifts” would you give a 20-something if you were a “Forty-Godmother”? Here 40-somethings share three wishes to help a 20-something get a head start on the confidence to make decisions that are right for themselves. No more woulda, coulda, shoulda.

If you want to change something in your life it takes work. If you wake up in the morning dreading going to work or regretting the way you spent the day before, it’s insanity* to think that if you just get up and keep doing things the same way that anything is going to change. See someone who can help, say something to your friends, write down your big goals, set some small goals and first steps, eliminate the triggers of doing the same thing.

* “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”. (attributed to Albert Einstein)

Baggage holds you back from being open to a new relationship. If you want to move forward, try to be real about why you are holding on to an old relationship.
