Three Gifts For A 20-Something (What I Learned The Hard Way)

unspecified

What three “gifts” would you give a 20-something if you were a “Forty-Godmother”? 40-something women share three things to help a 20-something get a head start on the confidence to make decisions that are right for themselves. No more woulda, coulda, shoulda.

1. If you are going to talk about someone behind their back – be prepared for it to come back to you.

2. Don’t let vanity get in the way of being comfortable. With few exceptions, you will only look ridiculous if you can’t walk steadily wearing heels in the middle of a field during an outdoor event or shivering in a too cold dress. But most importantly, wear what makes you comfortable being you.

3. Saying yes to something that is a step or two ahead of your comfort level is so freeing. You will look back later and wonder, why was I so afraid of that?  If you wait until you think you are ready, it may just be too late.
