The one thing I want to share with 20-somethings trying to start a business or build their career is…don’t try to build a mansion. Start with a barn. It takes a really long time to build something, so start really small.
Apply the 80/20 rule. 80% of business comes from 20% of the people. So what is the 20% “thing” that 80% of the people are looking for? Try to figure that out and then you can focus on that other 80% to fill out your long tail. Focus first on the thing that differentiates and gives you the stakes to grow.
